Op donderdag 25 april waren we te gast bij Triple in Alkmaar voor onze 56e meeting.

18:35u–19:30u Mattias Lögdberg (iBiz Solution) - Micro service serverless layer with Azure Functions

In this session, we will look into Azure Functions which is one of the serverless offerings inside Azure. In Functions Code is easily converted into API’s, event listener or scheduled jobs. We will look into a typical scenario of building a data layer in Azure with only serverless components. Components we will include API Management, Cosmos DB and Azure Functions. Within the scenario, we’re going to expose API’s inside API Management to access the service layer (Functions) and later the data from Cosmos DB. Furthermore, we will also look into how and why one should divide Functions in separate Functions Apps based on scaling - and how to troubleshoot with Application Insight, cold start and a few deployment considerations.

19:40u–20:40u Sessie 2: Pieter Dubelaar (Triple) - Automatiseer cashback campagnes met Cosmos DB en friends

Aan de hand van de Spin Awards-genomineerde case Heineken Rewards, een cashback- en lotingssysteem voor het web, neemt Triple ons mee in de architectuur en implementatie van vraagstukken die het HEINEKEN mogelijk maakt in haar sites in minuten een tailored campagne voor de verwerking van geprinte codes en kassabonnen op te zetten. We raken daarbij de schaalcapaciteit van Cosmos DB, Umbraco's customizeerbaarheid en de capaciteiten van Azure's API Management.
